Spectrum International School Is The First School To Represent Malaysia In Mission X
Mission X
The ‘Mission X Challenge’ program has been active since
2011 and involves participants from many countries around
the world. Developed in cooperation with NASA scientists
and fitness professionals working together with the astronauts,
the ‘Train Like an Astronaut’ activities are the physical and
inquiry-based approach related to human health and fitness
on earth and in space. This competition is aligned with NASA,
ESA (European Space Agency), Esero (European Space Education
Resource Office) and UK Space Agency.
Google For Education Pilot Program
Spectrum becomes part of the Google for Education Pilot
program. This program is mainly for US & Canada schools with
limited access for abroad schools. Spectrum is one of these
limited schools to be chosen outside these countries.
It is part of our school strategy to ensure our educators are
trained as Google-certified educators. Our implementation and
effective usage of Google for Education has resulted in Spectrum
International School Malaysia being one of few schools outside
of USA and Canada and the only school in Malaysia to be chosen
to participate in the pilot Google for Education project as they
look to further develop their international education provisions.
Spectrum educators will then work directly with the Google
Product team in testing out new features and sharing their
feedback. This means we have access to these newly developed
resources to utilize with our students.

Google Education
Spectrum International School, established in Malaysia in 2016, is home to students from over 30 nationalities. We are proud to be the first Islamic school recognized for using Google for Education.
Our students use tools like Applied Digital Skills and Teachable Machine, supported by easy access to Chromebooks—durable, affordable, and user-friendly for all ages.
Google Classroom has transformed how we engage parents, offering digital diaries and curriculum plans to support each child’s progress.
Google apps have enhanced our students’ skills, fostering global citizenship, collaboration, and effective communication.
